Home of the Hyper Delta Blues!

Todd the Fox is a singer/songwriter currently based in Dayton, Ohio. He has performed all over the Miami Valley in the past few years allowing him to develop his stage presence and unique voice. Growing up in a family from the mountains of eastern Kentucky, Todd was steeped in the gospel and bluegrass traditions in his early years.
"I like to listen to and play music that falls somewhere around the edges of Folk, Bluegrass, Old Time Country and/or the Blues. I learned to play slide on a homemade Cigar Box Guitar. It wasn't loud enough so I grabbed a resonator and suit-case drum. I think music should be more about emotional energy, and less about technical prowess. I like to play my music way too fast and loud. Punk Blues is over used and Speed-Folk doesn't sound right. The closest label so far is Hyper Delta Blues."
Whether playing a six string flattop or sliding on a resonator guitar, Todd switches between gentle finger picking and impassioned strumming. His voice balances the grit of an old bluesman with the smoothness of a pop star; his set could include anything from an old folk tune to a modern hit, with some of his original compositions thrown in for good measure. He has even been known to play his homemade Cigar Box Guitar on stage!
